Sherri Chisan (Blue Quills First Nations College) and Sally (Calgary-based arts management consultant) have created a survey for individuals and another one for organizations. They are looking for help in connecting with Aboriginal Artists, all disciplines – traditional and contemporary.
The purpose of the survey is to invite Aboriginal artists and organizations to let them know about their experience with current arts funding – how it ‘is’ or ‘is not’ working for Aboriginal artists. (Grants, sponsorships, etc)
Findings will be shared with Canada Council, The AFA, various foundations, municipal funders, participants and others.
They’re looking for actors, technicians, film-makers, writers, hide-tanners, dancers, visual artists – the whole gamut! It only takes about 6 to 10 minutes to complete.
