We’re back! Sorry for the wait! We’ve got a fantastic new episode with the incredible Stacey Bru, the Alberta-based zine maker and writer of Anxiety Comics. Stacey came to the Draw More income podcast for a little while in late September to chat about all things zine culture and how she manages the professional aspects of this work. Stacey is a maker, a teacher, a business-person, and all around nice person. She’s totally fascinating and we hope you enjoy.
However, we’d also like to thank our guest host for this week, Trevor Gieske! We thought this might be a fun way to bring something new to the podcast and also help you get a more in-depth look at topics that Sara and Graeme might not have the expertise in. Trevor works for the Calgary comic book store Phoenix Comics in Inglewood (http://www.phoenix-comics.ca/) and co-runs the Indie Comics Coffee Klatsch at Gravity Espresso and Wine Bar with Stacey.
We’d also would like to thank the Alberta Printmaker’s Society again for letting us record in their space. As well, we record this show on traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuu T’ina, and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations. The City of Calgary is also home to the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
