Ribbon Awarded for People’s Choice Award
A call for Alberta Artists to create works of art incorporating portraiture in any medium.
1. Eligibility
Any Alberta artist over the age of 18 is eligible for this show
2. Dates, Times and Location
Entry Deadline: March 21st, 2020
Delivery of artwork: April 9th or 11th, 2020, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Artists are responsible for any special display or hanging items required. Examples: mannequin for garments, or rods for wall hangings.
All packaging materials must be removed at time of delivery to the gallery.
Reception: Saturday April 18th, 2020 1-3pm
Public Viewing: Tuesday, April 14, 2018 – Friday, May 1st, 2020
Gallery Hours: Monday – Saturday – 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Pick-up of all artwork – Saturday, May 2nd, 2020, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
3. Entry form & Fee
Artists may submit up to three (3) works of art with combined total area no larger than 40” x 32” [ Length X Width = 1280 square inches]. Entry form must be completed and signed, and the artist’s three submissions may be a combination of 2D and 3D. There is a $10 entry fee for this show, to help cover reception costs.
4. Judging
This show is not judged. A ribbon is given for the People’s Choice.
5. Guidelines
AAC Standards apply to all artwork submitted. A copy of our Standards is available on our website : https://www.alliedartscouncil.com/aac-standards/
The AAC reserves the right to refuse any art piece that does not meet the criteria set out in the general rules and regulations of this show.
6. Insurance
All artists are responsible for carrying their own insurance on artwork while it is on display at the Spruce Grove Art Gallery. The Allied Arts Council/Spruce Grove Art Gallery is not responsible for damage or theft of art while in the Spruce Grove Art Gallery.
7. Commission
A 25% commission fee to the Allied Arts Council will be charged on all sales.
8. Reception
All participating artists and their guests are encouraged to attend the reception.
