The Alberta Association of Artist-run Centres (AAARC) will be hosting a closed BIPOC community conversation facilitated by: Jordan Baylon; Iftu Hargaaya, Nitu Purna and Priscilla Cherry of The Colour Factor; and Samantha Matters from Future Ancestors on Friday December 4, 2020 from 5pm – 7pm MDT. The community conversation will be followed by an open forum regarding racism in artist-run centres in Alberta, on Saturday December 5, 2020 from 1pm – 5pm MDT. Both events are free to anyone who self-identifies as being a part of the Alberta arts community, and the BIPOC community conversation is open only to those in the arts community that self-identify as Black, Indigenous or a Person of Colour. Both events will be held virtually, over Zoom, hosted by a secure paid account.
