Call For Volunteer Board Member
Closing Date: December 15, 2022
CARFAC Alberta advances best practices for all visual artists in Alberta through education, advocacy and engagement. We are a provincial arts service organization and part of the national network of Canadian professional artists.
We are seeking a few volunteer Board Members to start immediately. These new board positions would ideally include a second Vice President (from outside the greater Edmonton area) and two Directors that can help connect us to new communities throughout Alberta (culturally diverse and geographically remote/rural). We are a governance Board with paid staff and we meet four times a year with functioning working committees in which all board members are expected to join one committee. Meetings are primarily held via video calls with an involvement of about three hours a month. Join us in helping to guide Alberta’s advocacy organization for Visual Artists, please submit an expression of interest by 15 December 2022.
- A one-page document outlining your interest and understanding of CARFAC and its initiatives, and what you feel you can contribute to the organization.
- Your current CV, and a short bio
- Your general work-week schedule, so we can contact you for further discussion and an interview
CARFAC Alberta is an inclusive organization, and welcomes the knowledge and viewpoints of all people, including those who identify as 2SLGBTQQI, First Nations and Métis, New Canadians, and Visible Minorities.
