VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS:

CARFAC Alberta is always looking for interest in volunteer positions on the CARFAC Alberta Board.

With a mission to advance best practices for all visual artists in Alberta through education, advocacy and engagement, CARFAC Alberta envisions a province where all visual artists thrive: artwork is valued, rights are respected, and creativity is integral to our communities. CARFAC Alberta is a small not-for-profit art service organization with less than two paid staff positions and an active Board and membership.

Duties of Volunteer Board Members

The Board meets virtually in the evening four – six per year based on availability of a Board of 9 members. The Executive Committee also meets virtually in the evening six times per year therefore it is important that the successful candidate has adequate availability to attend all meetings unless there is an emergency.

Opportunity

Volunteering with CARFAC Alberta is an ideal opportunity for giving back to the visual arts community. There is also potential to grow leadership skills working for a not-for-profit arts service organization. This position is ideal for someone who wishes to advocate for arts and culture in Alberta.
