April 2020 WebinarsMark Vazquez-Mackay (Calgary Artist, Educator And
Arts Advocate) Mark Vazquez-Mackay will discuss how his role as muralist,
mentor and volunteer impacts local communities. Vazquez-Mackay’s
practice creates and nourishes artistic communities creating links between
these communities and the citizens of Calgary.

Risa Payant (Executive Director, Common Weal Community
Arts) is the Executive Director of a Saskatchewan provincial arts organization
that collaboratively engages professional artists with communities
to promote social change and cultural identity through creative expression.
She will discuss the importance of using the arts to create a legacy of social
change within communities.

  • Non-members pay $25 per ticket by following the “Buy Ticket” Eventbrite link in each session description.
  • Both webinars run from 6:30 until  8pm.
  • After the two thirty–minute talks, there will be a thirty minute discussion based on written
    questions from you, the audience
