CARFAC Alberta believes in ethical fundraisers that are fair to all participants. We follow the Best Practices and encourage you to read them.
For Hats Off, CARFAC Alberta’s FUNdraiser, all artists can set the starting bid price for their work. All artists can opt to receive 50% of the final value that their artwork goes for. For this FUNdraiser, we encourage you to have fun, and make something new.
Deadline for receipt of artwork: September 23 at 3pm
Members and friends,
Visual Artists wear many hats. Most of us have worn a few different hats over the last year and a half. During this time, the visual arts have been a sanity-saver for many people; for practicing artists as well as those newly discovering – or re-discovering – the benefits of art.
During this time of COVID -19, CARFAC Alberta has been working hard to maintain, augment and innovate programming across the province. Alberta artists are invited to submit work for Hats Off. Your participation will directly support future CARFAC Alberta programming.
What:
A non-juried open call for artworks with a hat theme, in the media of your choice (maximum size: 24 x 24 x 24″). Painting, sculpture, mixed media, textile… You may find inspiration in the form of an old hat, in the back of your closet, or want to create something totally new… Have some fun! One entry per artist…
